7th Anniversary & Fraser Valley Junmai – Series Two Release Reception!

What a great day! Thank you very much for making our special day even more special!

We are really excited to celebrate 7 years of success and of course, sometimes bumpy roads. We would like to thank all customers, friends and families as well as acknowledge both current and past staff who supported our growth! Arigato!

What is more, we released Fraser Valley Junmai – Series Two yesterday! We are one big step closer to our goal to become completely self-sufficient with our ingredients while being a ‘sustainable, local and natural’ producer.

Happy 7th! Kampai!

Special thanks to Yukiko Onley for capturing the moment!

7 Days till Fraser Valley Junmai – Series Two!

We are putting labels on Fraser Valley Junmai – Series Two. The release date is set on Wednesday, January 15 coinciding with our 7th Anniversary!

At our winery, we do not use a label machine. We do all by hand including bottle labelling and that’s why we call ourselves “Artisan SakeMaker.” The production is bigger than the series one, but it is still going to be sold only in limited quantities. We will keep you updated – in the meantime you can still enjoy the rest of our gorgeous sakes!

Check Out Our Display at the Net Loft on Granville Island!

We proudly announce that we are going to harvest “locally grown” Sake Rice in Abbotsford this weekend.

Rice Field Bird Management

We saw damages to the rice by birds (starlings). This is one of the problems we face in our rice production. We are trying hard to contain the damage to a minimum by using bird-scare devices.

Rice Field Weed Management

The Artisan Sake Maker Team went to their rice fields in Abbotsford! They all went into the water-laden field to tend tot he rice & get rid of the weeds.
